Client onboarding the traditional way: days of lines, paper, and branches. The way we built it: under a minute.
QR code, document, and facial biometrics straight on the client’s phone, with the company’s brand on every screen. The flow image is real, running at Tech86. No line, no paper, no branch.
Why onboarding is the hidden bottleneck
Every day between the client’s intent and account validation is silent churn: the intent cools, the competitor approves first, and the unfinished registration becomes rework cost. Traditional onboarding (lines, paper, branches) was designed for risk, not for the client.
The digital design does not choose between risk and experience: it uses facial biometrics as the proof paper never was. Comparing the face with the document eliminates identity fraud and accelerates registration at once, with LGPD explicit at every step.
KYB is the part separating serious from improvised
For individuals, KYC solves it. For companies, KYB is where most solutions deliver half: they validate the CNPJ and ignore the structure.
The KYB we close validates the ownership structure, maps the final beneficiary (who stands behind the company), and keeps LGPD compliance end to end. Without KYB, PJ onboarding is an automation facade with regulatory risk underneath: data-subject data is what the ANPD enforces, and an unmapped final beneficiary is exactly what enforcement looks for.
What the flow looks like in practice
The client scans the QR code at the point of interest, opens the flow in their phone’s own browser (no app install), presents the document, does the facial biometrics, and receives validation in under a minute. The company’s brand appears on every screen, and the data enters your registration process already validated.
For PJ, the KYB layer runs in sequence: ownership structure, final beneficiary, and compliance, with no paper. The integration sits in your registration, and the whole flow lives on the client’s phone.
Conclusion
Good clients do not wait for process. The phrase summarizes the whole use case: identity validation exists to protect the operation, but it became the filter expelling good clients along with bad ones.
The design that solves it shortens validation to under a minute and deepens verification to the ownership level: fast KYC up front, complete KYB behind, LGPD in everything. If your onboarding still depends on lines and paper, the missing conversion is hiding there.
